Emotion regulation is one of the important strategies that influence people's mental health and personality. This research was conducted with the aim of comparing the cognitive regulation styles of emotion, mood traits and primary maladaptive schemas in people with antisocial personality disorder, narcissism and normal people in Urmia city.

The statistical population of this research was made up of people aged 18 to 50 in Urmia, of which 300 people (100 for each group) were selected as the sample size through a multi-stage cluster sampling method. In order to collect data, antisocial behavior tools (Robinson and O'Leary-Kelly), cognitive emotion regulation style questionnaire (Grassefgi), temperament questionnaire (Krepplini temperament), primary maladaptive schema questionnaire (Yang) and narcissistic personality questionnaire (Rasikin and Terry) was used. For data analysis, descriptive statistics methods were used to describe the research variables, and MANOVA multiple variance analysis was used to analyze the research hypotheses in the inferential part.
Results: The results showed that there is a significant difference between the components of cognitive emotion regulation styles, mood traits and primary maladaptive schemas in people with antisocial personality disorder, narcissism and normal people (P<0.001).
Conclusion: According to the findings of the present study, which showed that there is a difference between the components of the cognitive regulation styles of emotion, temperamental traits and primary maladaptive schemas in people with antisocial personality disorder syndrome, narcissism and normal people, it is recommended to reduce antisocial personality disorder. Social, narcissistic, cognitive emotion regulation skills training should be used and attention should be paid to the primary mental schemas in people.
